Steelers vs Broncos Score

The Pittsburgh Steelers showed why they are the world champions. Denver looked very strong in the first quarter with the offense moving the ball and their defense was showing why it is ranked so well.

However.... This IS the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Broncos had a good opening drive, but the Steeler defense held them to a Matt Prater 40 yard field goal. Denver still looked like the better team until Kyle Orton's first interception. Tyrone Carter, filling in for Ryan Clark, ran the interception back 48 yards for the score and the Pittsburgh lead.

In the third quarter, Denver scored on a Ben Roethlisberger fumble and recovery by Robert Ayers, who ran it back 54 yards for the Denver lead.

Then, the Steelers seem to get a little mad. The took 6 plays to go 82 yards with Hines Ward's 3 yard TD completion. According to Roethlisberger, "We went into the no huddle and changed the game".

The Steelers went on to score in the waning minutes to get the score to 28-10.

Rashard Mendenhall was a huge force as he had 22 carries for 155 yards, most coming in the second half.

According to Roethlisberger "We're going to enjoy this for an hour or two, then we have to get ready for a tough Cincinnati team".

The Steelers and Broncos are both 6-2.
